Obituary for Robert J Lindbloom

Robert J. Lindbloom, 85, of East Windsor passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on April 20, 2016 at the University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro. Born in Canton, IL; he made his home in East Windsor the past 45 years.

Robert was a veteran of the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He was a Vice President of New York Life Insurance Company, New York City until his retirement in 1989. He was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling and was an amateur bird watcher. A loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, his family was the most important thing in his life.

Son of the late Rollie and Helen Lindbloom, brother of the late William Lindbloom and Barbara Stoops and grandfather of the late Eric L. Ruck. Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Theresa Horvath Lindbloom, two daughters, Cynthia Lindbloom Mezick (Joseph), Sharon Lindbloom Ruck (Larry), one son, Mark S. Lindbloom (Jennie), seven grandchildren, Kristin, Matthew (Amnee), Alex, Sarah (John), Melissa, Elizabeth and Christina, two great-grandchildren, Savanna and Carter Rose.

Calling hours will be held from 2pm to 5pm on Sunday, April 24, 2016 at the Barlow & Zimmer Funeral Home, 202 Stockton Street, Hightstown, NJ 08520. Funeral services will be held 11am on Monday at St Paul’s Lutheran Church, 79 One Mile Road Ext., East Windsor, NJ 08520. Private family interment will be held at the Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Robert’s name may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or the Alzheimer’s Association, 3 Eves Drive, Suite 310 Marlton, NJ 08053.
