Donald M. Vorp, 80, of Plainsboro passed away Tuesday, August 2 at Merwick Care & Rehabilitation Center in Plainsboro. Born in Tarentum, PA; he resided in Plainsboro for the past 31 years.
Mr. Vorp retired after 31 years from the Princeton Theological Seminary where he served as the James Lenox Librarian. He was a former member of the American Theological Library Assoc., the American Library Assoc. and was a member of the United Methodist Church of Cranbury.
Don is survived by his wife of 59 years, Dorothy Vorp, one son and daughter-in-law, Doug and Emily Vorp, one daughter, Debbie Vorp, one grandson, Alex Vorp, one sister, Melva Rahmann and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held, 6pm to 9pm on Friday at the Miller Chapel, 64 Mercer Street, Princeton, NJ 08540. Funeral services will be held 9:30am at Miller Chapel with burial following the service at Westminster Cemetery, Cranbury. Donations in Don’s name may be made to Miles for Music at milesformusic.org. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Barlow & Zimmer Funeral Home, Hightstown.
