Thomas Rooney, 56, of East Windsor died Sunday, September 18, 2016 at his residence. Born in Jersey City, he lived in the East Windsor area for the past 15 years.

Mr. Rooney was employed with the South Brunswick Board of Education for the past 12 years. Tom loved his boat and enjoyed the time he spent fishing on the Delaware River.

Son of the late John and Helen Cubberly Rooney, he is survived by his fiancee, Maryann Twiddy, two sons, Brian E. and Joseph Rooney, two daughters, Melissa and Samantha Rooney, two brothers, The Reverend John Rooney, Bruce Rooney and James Rooney, three sisters, Diane, Colleen and Patricia, one grandson, Damien.

Funeral services will be held 7:30pm on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at the Barlow & Zimmer Funeral Home, 202 Stockton Street, Hightstown, NJ 08520. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6pm until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family.
