Obituary for David Meyer Gelles

David M. Gelles, 74, of East Windsor passed away at his home Wednesday, February 22 with his family by his side. Born in Brooklyn, he was a resident of East Windsor for the past 40 years.

Mr. Gelles served in the United States Army from 1961 to 1963. He was retired from his own private security investigation company. David was also very proud to be involved with spreading the awareness of service dogs for people with disabilities.

He is survived by his wife Judy Gelles, two sons and daughters-in-law, Adam and Angela Gelles and Colin and Mary Gelles, he was the proud Pop-Pop of four grandchildren, Janine, Brad, Alice, Dylan and is also survived by a sister, JoAnn and a host of nieces and nephews and extended family.

Calling hours will be held, 2pm to 5pm on Saturday, Feb. 25 and 10am to 11am Sunday, Feb. 26 at the Barlow & Zimmer Funeral Home, 202 Stockton Street, Hightstown, NJ 08520. Graveside services will be held Sunday at 11:30am at Floral Park Cemetery, 104 Deans Rhode Hall Road, South Brunswick.

In lieu of flowers donations in David’s name may be made to the American Cancer Society or the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
