Robert J. Wasilewski, 59, of Hightstown passed away at Meadow Lakes Sunday, March 26, 2017. Born in Jersey City, he was a resident of Hightstown for the past 25 years.

Robert was a graduate of Hudson Catholic High School and the New Jersey Institute of Technology. He was employed as a mechanical engineer for 17 years with DLB Associates in Eatontown.

Mr. Wasilewski enjoyed working on cars and being with his family and his dogs, Sadie and Ziggy. He was a member of the Capital City Dive Club and was a Cub Scout and Boy Scout Leader for Troop 59 in Hightstown.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Sandra Duryee Wasilewski, one son; Spencer Wasilewski, his mother and father; Robert and Barbara Schaar Wasilewski of New Port Richey, FL, one sister and brother-in-law; Ann Wasilewski and Dan Warchol of New Port Richey, FL, one brother and sister-in-law; Tom and Kate Wasilewski of Land of Lakes, FL, four nephews; Robert and Drew Warchol and Derek and Michael Wasilewski and one niece; Emmillee Warchol.

Calling hours will be held, 5pm to 8pm Wednesday at the Barlow & Zimmer Funeral Home, 202 Stockton Street, Hightstown, NJ 08520. Funeral services will be held, 10:30am Thursday, March 30 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hightstown. In lieu of flowers donations in Robert’s name may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Hightstown, 187 Stockton Street, Hightstown, NJ 08520.
