Lois Cook Pratt, 92, of Monroe died July 10th at Brookdale Assisted Living Center, Monroe, NJ. Born in Newark, NJ, Lois had been living in Monroe since 2007.

Living in Washington, DC, Lois worked as a Bookkeeper for Georgetown University Medical Center and bought her beloved red convertible. She later volunteered at the Watchung School Library, Point Pleasant Hospital and Meals on Wheels. She later worked at A-Plus Letters.

One of her great joys was her many friends and traveling to see them. Lois was greatly admired for her wisdom & advice, especially in family matters.

She was predeceased by her parents, Romayne and Hazel Cook and also two sisters, Marvis Clegg and Muriel Wright. She is survived by her son, Rick of Hightstown, four Step-Daughters, Ginna Malcolm, Deborah Dawson, Laurens Erban and Jane Reynolds, eleven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and 5 nieces.

Private memorial services will be provided by the family at a later date.

Arrangements are under the direction of Barlow & Zimmer Funeral Home, 202 Stockton St., Hightstown, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the American Legion Auxiliary, Unit 519, c/o #85 B Empress Plaza, Monroe, NJ 08831.
