Obituary for Ronald C Morse

Ronald C. Morse, age 84, passed away on May 18, 2018 in Hightstown, NJ at Meadow Lakes where he had spent the past seven years with his devoted wife, Nancy B. Morse. They had just celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary the previous day with many friends. Born in New York City, Mr. Morse spent his childhood in East Orange, NJ and graduated in 1955 with a B.S. in Business Administration from Lehigh University where he also joined the Chi Psi fraternity. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1956 to 1958 aboard the USS Jacana, a minesweeper based in Yorktown, VA. He began his career working for the Home Insurance Co. in New York and was transferred to Wilmington, DE and Minneapolis, MN. He returned to New Jersey in 1964 and spent the next 30 years working in Plainfield and later Westfield for the J.G Mulford Insurance Co. which eventually merged with the Bollinger Organization. Mr. Morse, his wife and children settled in Berkeley Heights, NJ where they lived for over 30 years and were members of St. Andrews Episcopal Church in New Providence. While living in Berkeley Heights Mr. Morse and his wife enjoyed the company of family, friends, neighbors, fraternity brothers and volunteering at Overlook hospital.
Mr. Morse is survived by his loving wife, Nancy B. Morse (nee Blumoehr) of Staten Island and three sons Jeff (Barbara) of New Providence, NJ, Scott (Jodi) of Enfield, CT and Craig (Joanne) of Huntersville, NC. He was known as “Grampy” to his grandchildren Caitlin, Meghan, Natalie, Emma, Cole, Carolyn and David.
Memorial services will be held at noon on Saturday June 16th at St. Andrew’s Church in New Providence, NJ and at Meadow Lakes in Hightstown, NJ later this summer.
