Obituary for John Ralph Lilly

John Ralph Lilly, 77, of West Windsor, passed away Thursday, November 1, 2018 at Compassionate Care Hospice at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in Hamilton. Born in West Bromwich, Staffordshire, England; John moved to the United States in 1985 and became a US Citizen in 1994. He lived in New York and Maine before moving to West Windsor in 1996.

John was a graduate of the Hilltop Secondary School and the West Bromwich Technical College. He was employed as the Chief Electronics Engineer at Mason Scott Thrissel where he traveled the world working on many large scale engineering projects. Following his true calling as an entrepreneur, he started his own company, Synor Electronics. John was an avid sailor and enjoyed RV camping and he cherished his time helping the Cub/Boy Scouts construct numerous projects. John was a member of St. David’s Episcopal Church in Cranbury.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Marilyn Lilly, three sons; John William Lilly, Matthew James Lilly and Dominic Newton Lilly, one daughter; Sophie Louise Lilly, three grandchildren; Isabella Lilly, Aidan Lilly and Freddie Lilly, two brothers; Edwin Lilly and Andrew Lilly, and many nieces and nephews.

Burial Office and Requiem Eucharist will be offered 11:00am on Tuesday, Nov. 6, at St. David’s Episcopal Church, 90 South Main Street, Cranbury, NJ 08512 with The Rev. Mother Karin Mitchell presiding. Calling hours will be held Monday, Nov. 5, from 6pm to 8pm at the Barlow & Zimmer Funeral Home, 202 Stockton Street, Hightstown, NJ 08520. In lieu of flowers, donations in John’s name may be made to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research, Donation Processing, PO Box 5014, Hagerstown, MD 21741-5014.
