Obituary for Dorothy E Sullivan

Dorothy E. Sullivan, 91, formally of East Windsor passed away on Monday, October 21, 2019 at Meadowview Nursing Home in Northfield. Born in Metuchen, she had been a longtime resident of East Windsor before moving to Egg Harbor Township.

Dorothy was passionate about doing jazzercise, which she participated in for over 20 years and was a class manager. She was also a member of the Republican Women’s Club in East Windsor and was active in Meals on Wheels. One of her greatest joy’s was doing her needlepoint and sewing.

Dorothy loved her picnics and trips with her family to Florida, Bar Harbor, Maine; the Bahamas, Jamaica and many other road trips around the United Sates. She especially loved her trips and vacations with her grandchildren to Six Flags, Point Pleasant, Ocean City, the Caribbean and Disney.

Dorothy was predeceased by her husband of 67 years John Sullivan Sr. in 2017, she is survived by four children and their spouses, John Wesley Sullivan Jr. and his wife Rosemary, Deborah Wedeking, Scott Sullivan and his wife Beth and David Sullivan; four grandchildren, Samantha Sullivan, Nicole Sullivan, Lucas Sullivan and Liam Sullivan; one sister, Joy Beverly Kraszewski; one brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Byron Sullivan and his wife Peg.

Calling hours will be held 6pm to 8pm Monday, October 28 at the Barlow & Zimmer Funeral Home, 202 Stockton Street, Hightstown, NJ. Funeral services will be held 10am Tuesday, at the First Presbyterian Church of Hightstown, 320 North Main Street, Hightstown, NJ 08520. Interment will follow at CloverLeaf Memorial Park in Woodbridge, NJ.
