Condolence: Dear Robin and Family, Please accept my deepest sympathy on Ron's passing. Ron and I worked together for many years at Central New Jersey's Magic 98.3, WMGQ. For the better part of twelve years, between 1982 and 1994, we had adjoining radio shows. At the end of my time at Magic, we were the last two remaining from '82. At the "changing of the guard", Ron and I had many discussions and comaraderie in an often stressful and fast paced world of broadcasting. He was always the voice of reason to my inclination to push the envelope. In addition to his longtime afternoon show, I also remember Ron as a pioneer in a program he hosted called "Magic Music for A New Age". Mr. Filepp was an expert in the genre and meticulously planned the program with great insight to the artists and their instruments. Therapists prescribed his program to patients and he had a loyal and devoted following. Whenever I hear his theme song, "Conferring With The Moon" by Wil Akerman, I remember those days with fondness. Ron will always be one of most legendary great guys I've had the privilage to know. I can see his passion for cats, I have some too. May you find comfort and peace in this difficult time. Condolence: Dearest Robin, Words cannot express the sadness we all feel for the loss of your precious Ron.Your husband and best friend. I have fond memories of your visit here to Australia when you stayed with us for a few days. We laughed and spoke of many things. Ron enjoyed the day trip to Hanging Rock and you later sent Thomas who was 4 years at the time his own little binoculars as he was very intrigued with Ron's. When we all went out for dinner in Lygon Street, Ron stopped to get money from the ATM and instead of getting into our car opened the door of the police car parked behind us by mistake and went to hop in. That was a laugh we all enjoyed a few times over. I know Ron will be reunited with loved ones who have before him passed and he will be by your side always. Condolence: While I did not know Ronald, I frequently cycle the roads in Tabernacle which is 35miles from his residence. That minimum round-trip of 70miles confirms he was accomplished cyclist and enjoyed the past time. The entire cycling community grieves and is sorry for your loss.
