Lillian E. Hummel, 88, of East Windsor died Friday, November 25, 2016 at her residence. Born in New York City, NY; she was an area resident for over 65 years.
She retired after many years working for the Old York Inn in East Windsor and Mathematica in West Windsor.
Wife of the late Edward Hummel Sr., she is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Ellen and Ken Bertles of Pennsville and Lori and Glenn Gary of Rayne, Louisiana; two sons and one daughter-in-law, David Hummel of Manville and Paul and Donna Hummel of Hightstown; eight grandchildren, Ken Jr. and Jennifer Bertles, Paul Jr., Heather Hummel-Ayansola, Dawn Hummel, Nicole Doria, Frank Candelori and Monica Hummel, nine great-grandchildren, Britney and Lindsey Smith, Gabriel, Michael and Angelina Bertles, Aiden, Lilli, Izzy and Hannah Doria, two sisters, Harriet Sojka and Helen Herzog.
A memorial visitation will be held 6pm to 8pm Thursday, December 1, 2016 at the Barlow & Zimmer Funeral Home, 202 Stockton Street, Hightstown, NJ 08520. In lieu of flowers, donations in Lillian’s name may be made to the American Diabetes Association, PO Box 11454 Alexandria, VA 22312.
