Donna C. Baumann, 72, of Cranbury, died peacefully on May 11, 2017 with her loving husband at her side. Born in Princeton, NJ; she resided in Cranbury most of her life.
Donna graduated from Hightstown High School in 1962 and the Bryn Mawr Hospital School of Nursing, Bryn Mawr, PA in 1965. Donna worked for the Princeton Medical Center and the Princeton Medical Group. She spent her remaining years serving the residents of Monroe Village in Monroe Township, where she set up and ran the Medical Clinic. After retiring from Monroe Village she finished her career working part time as a personal private nurse for the residents of Springpoint at Meadow Lakes in Hightstown.
Donna dedicated her life to the service of others and was highly regarded in her field by her colleagues and those she served. Donna loved gardening and was a past member of the Rocky Brook Garden Club. She was an avid reader as well and loved to sit and read for hours. As a young girl, Donna was one of nine young girls from Cranbury that were picked to test Betty Crocker recipes for a nationally published Betty Crocker Cookbook for Children. A caricature of each young chef, including Donna, can be found in the cookbook.
Donna was a beloved wife, sister and aunt. She gave wise counsel and had love in her heart for all of humanity. Donna was predeceased by her parents, James and Lillian Christiansen, she is survived by her husband of 21 ½ years, Steven R. Baumann, her sister and her husband, Claire and Richard Schroeder and her nephews, Scott, Craig and Mark Schroeder.
Private family services will be held for Donna at Brainerd Cemetery in Cranbury.
