David Floyd Thorne, 36, of Lawrenceville, died Thursday at his residence. Born in Princeton, he grew up in Hightstown. David also resided in San Diego, CA; while studying at San Diego State University.
He graduated from San Diego State with a Bachelors degree in International Finance and Business. He returned to New Jersey after studying in Germany and back packing across Europe. Dave has been a resident of Lawrenceville for the past 10 years.
He adored children, especially the love of his life, his daughter, Kali. He also enjoyed the New Jersey shore, surfing, snowboarding and spending time with his family and friends.
Surviving are his daughter, Kali, his mother, Kathy Floyd Thorne, father, David Harley Thorne, one brother, Danny Thorne, one sister and brother-in-law, Melissa and Dave Simpson of Milltown, three aunts, Carolee Grocott, Linda Collura and Judy Thorne, one uncle, Kenny Thorne and his wife Ruthy Thorne and his five nieces and nephews all of Milltown.
Calling hours will be held 2-4pm and 6-8pm Sunday, June 18 at the Barlow & Zimmer Funeral Home, 202 Stockton Street, Hightstown, NJ 08520. Funeral services will be held 10:30am Monday at the funeral home with interment to follow at Van Liew Cemetery, North Brunswick.
