Edward Charles Goetzmann, Jr. of Roosevelt, NJ died Friday July 7, 2017 at age 86. Dr. Goetzmann, who earned his Doctorate of Education from Columbia University in 1962, was a public school educator for 40 years in Georgia, New York, and New Jersey.
He served in the United States Army from 1951 to 1953 and was a member of the Third Army Band.

Dr. Goetzmann, the son of Lily (Aldredge) and Edward C. Getzman, Sr., is survived by his sister, Carolyn Jordan, of Pawley’s Island, SC, and his wife of 47 years, Judith Grabel Goetzmann. Left to cherish his memory are his family: Evan Alter and Erin O’Donnell; Justin Goetzmann; Theadora and David Quible; and four loving grandchildren, Emma, Finn, Caroline, and Cían.

Funeral services will be held Monday, July 10, 2pm at The Roosevelt Cemetery, with a reception following at Roosevelt Public School.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
