Obituary for Adam S Povlick

Adam S. Povlick, 95, of East Windsor passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at Capital Health at Helen Fuld in Trenton. Born in Helen, West Virginia, Adam lived in New Brunswick before moving to East Windsor 40 years ago.
Mr. Povlick was a US Army veteran of World War II where he served in the European Theatre and was a awarded a Good Conduct Ribbon with three battle stars. Adam worked as an electrical mechanic for Johnson & Johnson in New Brunswick and retired after 45 years of service. During his time at Johnson & Johnson he was active with the J&J Bowling Club. Adam was a member of St Anthony of Padua RC Church in Hightstown and later in life enjoyed cooking and traveling.
Predeceased by his parent, Michael and Margaret Povlick, brothers, Mike and Dave Povlick, sisters, Mary and Margaret and nephew Charles Farkas; Adam is survived by his wife of 62 years, Barbara Povlick, nephews and nieces, Robert Farkas (Janice) of Pennsylvania, Mike Povlick (Stephanie) of Long Beach, NY; Mike Povlick of North Brunswick; Pat Fozman (George) of Maryland; Debbie Shrodo (George) of Edison, New Jersey; Douglas Oliver of Maine; Col. Thomas Oliver M.D. (Debbie) of Maryland; Cathy Huskisson (Bob) of Vermont; close cousin, Florine and Dave Dendler and family and many sister and brother-in-laws, nieces and nephews, cousins and great nieces.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11am Tuesday, January 23 at St Anthony of Padua RC Church, 251 Franklin Street, Hightstown, NJ 08520. Burial will follow at the Brig. Gen. W.C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery. Calling hours will be held 3pm to 7pm Monday, January 22 at the Barlow & Zimmer Funeral Home, 202 Stockton St., Hightstown, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations in Adam's name may be made to the American Cancer Society.
