Obituary for Bryce M Rittenhouse

Bryce M. Rittenhouse, 83, of West Windsor, passed away Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at the University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro. Born in Plainsboro he was an area resident his entire life.

A 1953 graduate of Princeton High School, Bryce attended Cornell University in the Civil Engineering Program 1953-1956, was in the Navy ROTC (Reserve Officer Training Core) for 3.5 years at Cornell University and served in the U. S. Army from 1957-1963.

He worked for the Princeton Township Engineering Dept. from 1960-1969, was the founder and partner of Princeton Engineering where he worked until his retirement in 2012. He was a member of the New Jersey Society of Professional Engineers, Professional Land Surveyors Association of New Jersey, WEF (Water Environment Federation).

Bryce was a volunteer reader for Recording of the Blind and Dyslexic and was a grateful member of Alcoholics Anonymous for 27 years.

Father of the late Barry L. Rittenhouse, Bryce is survived by his wife Joyce Brown Rittenhouse, daughter and son-in-law, Andree and Richard Magilson, one son, Robin (Roy) Rittenhouse, one granddaughter, Kathryn Magilson, stepdaughters, Dawn and Jill Rowley, brother and sister-in-law, Barry T. and Loretta Rittenhouse, brother in-law, Peter E. Brown and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held Tuesday, February 27 from 5pm to 8pm at the Barlow & Zimmer Funeral Home, 202 Stockton Street, Hightstown, NJ 08520. Funeral Service will be 11am Wednesday, February 28 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Brainerd Cemetery, Cranbury. In lieu of flowers donations in Bryce’s name may be made to Recording for the Blind and Dyslexic, 20 Roszel Rd. Princeton, NJ 08540.
