Obituary for Nicholas John "Nick" Parascando

Nicholas John Parascando (Nick), died in his home on February 11, 2019 in East Windsor, NJ. He was surrounded by the family that loved and adored him, He was 80.

Nick was born on January 8, 1939 in Newark, NJ to his parents, the late Salvatore Parascando and Rose Casale Parascando. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Jean Marie (Kuchinski) and his devoted son, Nicholas Anthony (Grace) of Hamilton, NJ. He is also survived by his sisters, Dolores Munoz (Edward) of Fords, NJ and Anna Moreno of Las Vegas, NV. In addition, he is survived by three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews and their families. He is predeceased in death by three brothers, John, Anthony and Peter and a sister, Helen Broes.

Nick retired in 2004 from Maher Terminals in Elizabeth, NJ; where he worked for over 30 years. Since then, he has been an avid painter, with well over 100 paintings, many hanging in family members’ homes. He also loved singing, Las Vegas, Italian Opera, Doo Wop music, entertaining friends and family and spoiling his Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. His beloved dog Bella has found a wonderful new home with his niece Jennifer and her family (Husband John Cunha and children, Gabriela, Sofia and Jacob). And a special thank you to his dear friend, Kathleen E. Coyle.
