Obituary for Jane T Cox

Jane Lippincott Turner Cox was born August 27, 1942 in Manhattan, NY and passed away August 28, 2019. Jane was raised in Raleigh, NC and graduated from Millbrook High School in 1960. Jane moved to Lawrenceville, NJ to attend Trenton State College where she earned her teaching degree and met her husband Robert Michael Cox. While raising their two daughters, Jane became an active member of the West Windsor Plainsboro community, managing the summer aquatics program. Jane continued her education by obtaining her masters degree from Rider University. Jane worked as an educator in the West Windsor Plainsboro School system, retiring as an ESL teacher from Maurice Hawk School.

Jane enjoyed swimming, reading, drawing, riding her bike, sewing and doing crossword puzzles. After retirement she and Bob enjoyed many adventures including sailing the Caribbean, biking through Ireland, whitewater rafting in Colorado, and Heli hiking in the Canadian Rockies. Jane kept detailed journals of their adventures which the family will treasure. Jane was also an active member of Saint David the King Catholic Church.

She is survived by her dear husband of 55 years, Robert Michael Cox, daughter Alice Beene (John) of Princeton Junction, NJ, daughter Elizabeth Frasier of Atlanta, GA, brother N Fletcher Turner III (Holly) of Fleming Island FL, brother David Turner (Bettina) of Newburyport, MA and grandchildren Christopher and Emily Beene.
