Obituary for Gordon S Fell

Gordon S Fell, 91, of Monroe Twp. passed away surrounded by George, Calvin and loving friends and family, Sunday, September 1, 2019 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick.

Born in McKinley Hospital in 1927; the son of Wellington P Fell and Matilda Schaefer Fell. He was raised in Trenton and attended the James Moses Elementary School, Junior High #2 and graduated from Trenton Central High Class of 1945.

Gordon was drafted at the end of World War II and served in Germany before being honorably discharged in 1948. He attended Dickinson College in Carlisle, PA; and received a degree in Political Science & English in 1949. Gordon attended the University of Georgia School of Law and received a degree of Doctor of Laws and Letters in 1953. He was employed by State Farm Insurance in the litigation unit for 34 years.

For more than 55 years, Gordon was a member of the Loyal Lodge #151and American Legion Post #1. He was a former member of the Greenwood United Methodist Church and taught at their neighborhood after school program, he was also active with several other of it’s organizations. Recently, Gordon was an active member of the United Methodist Church of Cranbury and was an active Republican.

Calling hours will be held 9am to 11am with an 11am service Friday, September 6, 2019, at the United Methodist Church of Cranbury, 21 North Main Street, Cranbury, NJ 08512. Burial will follow at Colonial Memorial Park in Hamilton. Arrangements are under the direction of the Barlow & Zimmer Funeral Home, Hightstown. In lieu of flowers, donations in Gordon’s name may be made to the United Methodist Church of Cranbury.
