Obituary for James A Ross

James A. Ross, loving husband of 56 years and father of two, passed away at his East Windsor residence on Friday, Oct. 4, 2019 at the age of 78.

Jim was born and raised in South River, NJ. Receiving a football scholarship, he attended the University of Iowa, where he met his loving wife, Bonny, with whom he would spend the next 60 years of his life. After graduating with Distinguished Military Honors as a member of the ROTC and with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History, Jim proudly served as Lieutenant in the U.S. Army until 1968, stationed in Anchorage, Alaska. Following his military service, Jim and Bonny settled down in East Windsor, where they raised two children and lived for over 50 years. Jim had a successful career in Supply Chain and Logistics for various Fortune 500 companies before establishing his own Industrial and Healthcare Cleaning Business, New Perspectives, Inc., that he ran as Founder and CEO for over 9 years.

In his free time, Jim volunteered with Rise Community Service Partnership in Hightstown and St. Francis Medical Center School of Nursing in Trenton. He also served on the advisory board of the Mercer County Technical Schools.

He was a man known for his compassion, integrity, loyalty, wit, and indelible sense of humor.
Son of the late Adam Rost and Helen Ross; he is survived by his wife of 56 years, Bonny Ross, his two children, Debra Yuhas (and husband, Chris) and Gregory (and wife, Mary), and grandson, Chase.

Calling hours will be held 6pm to 9pm on Friday, Oct. 11 at the Barlow & Zimmer Funeral Home, 202 Stockton Street, Hightstown, 08520. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home Saturday, Oct. 12 at 10:30am. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s of Ostrabrama Cemetery in East Brunswick.
