Obituary for Raymond P Solarski Sr.

Raymond P. Solarski, Sr., 92 years old of Robbinsville, NJ, passed away on December 13, 2019. He was born March 29, 1927 to Felix and Mary Solarski. He was predeceased by his wife, Violet Solarski. He is survived by his sons, Raymond P. Solarski, Jr and Jay (Nancy) Solarski. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Melissa (Adam) Matuza , Jessica Solarski and Brandon and Brittany Solarski. He is also survived by five great grandchildren.


Raymond worked for Hill Refrigeration for 42 years as a quality control supervisor. Upon retirement, he and his wife Violet enjoyed much time on their boat, “Sweet Violet.” Prior to his employ with Hill, he was enlisted in the US Navy. He was active for many years in the Bordentown Elks. He will be missed for his jokes and humor and loved to be referred as Ray “the Ripper”. We will never forget his chicken joke or “Ooh – Ahh” bird joke.


Calling hours will be held Wednesday, December 18th from 9:30 – 11 AM at Barlow & Zimmer Funeral Home, 202 Stockton Street, Hightstown, NJ 08520. A memorial service will take place at 11 AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Princeton Memorial Park, Robbinsville.
