Obituary for Vanessa Puskar

Vanessa Lynn Puskar, age 50, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on January 2, 2020. She was born September 2, 1969 in Mt. Holly, NJ to Logan Morris (deceased) and Caryl Rumble (husband Randy “GR”).

Vanessa is survived by her husband of 23 years Dave, daughter Lily Rose, her dog Charlie, her dear sister Paige and husband Matt. She was known as Aunt “Sessy” to their 4 children Logan, Lachlan, Lulu and Liam. Vanessa is also survived by 2 nieces, Isabella and Ariana Rosamilia, sister-in-law Karen Rosamilia, and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. She was a second mom to many.

She graduated from Rancocas Valley Regional High School then attended both Rutgers Camden and Temple University. While in college, Vanessa met Dave at Great Adventure where they worked during the summers. After college, she worked for Virtua Hospital until her beautiful daughter Lily arrived. She was dedicated to her family and friends. She treasured and embraced every moment with them. Vanessa loved doing things for others and this brought her joy – never able to say the word no. She loved reading, shopping (always a reason to buy a new purse and sweater), coffee shops, volunteering (breast cancer walks, school activities, Girl Scouts, church), summers at Long Beach Island(especially singing along with Monte at the Shell), mornings at the gym and breakfast afterwards with Paige, the change of seasons (decorations were a necessity), listening to Bruce, walks with Charlie and lunch dates with friends. Vanessa was always the carpool mom taking Lily and her friends to events. She and Dave were looking forward to the opening of their new brewery (getting back into the workforce – ha ha).

Please join us celebrating Vanessa’s life Tuesday, January 7, 2020 between 9am and 12:00 pm at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 79 One Mile Road, East Windsor, NJ 08520 where she was involved in many activities – education committee, vacation bible school, Sunday school.
