Princeton, NJ — Margaret Angela Davies Holman “Angela”, 88, died Monday, February 24, 2020 at Princeton
Medical Center in Princeton, NJ following a protracted illness.
Angela is pre-deceased by her husband John Michael “Mike” Leigh Holman, her son, Richard and brother,
Martin Davies. She leaves behind her children, Pippa (Michael), Jane (Paul) and Peter (Colin), her
grandchildren, Joshua (his finance Angela), Hannah and Allyson, and many others who loved her deeply.
Angela was born and raised in Abertillery, Wales, UK, attended Nursing School at Great Ormand Street
Hospital, London, England, earning her RN and married her grade school sweetheart, Mike. The two took
their young family and moved to Cranbury, NJ in 1963. Angela was a founding member of St. David’s
Episcopal Church, Cranbury, NJ, which celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2019. She was involved as a
lector, altar guild member, and greeter. She worked many years in the Cranbury Pharmacy and
volunteered with Reading for the Blind and GrandPals. Angela and Mike moved from Cranbury to
Windrows in Princeton, NJ in 2013, where Angela became very involved and made many friends. She was a
member of the Windrows Warblers, took art classes and volunteered in the Corner Store.
Angela was also an avid reader, knitter, and in her later years became an accomplished artist. Her true love
was always her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a later date, followed by a reception, both at St. David’s
Episcopal Church in Cranbury, NJ. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to either St.
David’s Episcopal Church or JDRF (formerly Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation).
