Obituary for Betty A Tantum
Betty Ann Tantum age 84 passed away on May 28 2020 at Penn Medicine, Princeton Hospital. She was the third daughter of Fred and Helen Bayer, thus she was the “Baby Bayer” born on March 08 1936 in Newark, NJ. In her early teens the family moved to Manalapan, Betty Ann graduated JHS in 1953.
She had worked at The Prudential, The Boy Scouts of America, Dr. Sofranko of Milltown, and as a rental agent for Hunters Glenn in Plainsboro. She also was a care giver for several local families. Betty Ann is survived by her two sons, Sterling “Tate” Tantum, and Cathy, Keith W. Tantum and Bonnie, and their daughter Diane. Also, the father of her sons, S. Warren Tantum. She was predeceased by her parents, her older sisters Nan and Wes Fairchild, and Kay and Bill Meyer.
In lieu of flowers the family would kindly request donations be made in Betty Ann Tantum’s name to the COVID-19 Unit of Penn Medicine, Princeton Health.
The family would like to extend their warmest appreciation to the nurses, Doctors, and staff of the COVID-19 unit of Princeton Health.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Barlow & Zimmer Funeral Home, Hightstown.
