Obituary for Lester H Dey
Lester H. Dey, 91, of East Windsor passed away on Wednesday, December 9, 2020, at his residence with his family by his side. Born in New Brunswick, NJ; Lester was a Hightstown/East Windsor resident for the past 65 years.
Lester was retired from Carpenters Local #1006 in Milltown where he worked for 42 years. He was a long time member of St Anthony of Padua RC Church in Hightstown where he was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. Mr. Dey was a veteran of the Korean War where he served as a Master Sergeant in the US Army.
Predeceased by his wife Kathryn C. Dey, his daughter, Linda Johnson and his three sisters. Les is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and John Marion; his sons and daughters-in-law, Lester J. and Beverly Dey and Steve and Rose Dey; his daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Brian Nolan; his son-in-law, Scott Johnson; his nineteen grandchildren and his eleven great-grandchildren.
Calling hours will be held from 5pm to 8pm Thursday, December 17 at St. Anthony of Padua RC Church, 251 Franklin St., Hightstown, NJ 08520 and from 10am to 11am, Friday, December 18, 2020. Mass of Christian
Burial will be celebrated 11am Friday, December 18, 2020 at St. Anthony of Padua RC Church, 251 Franklin St., Hightstown, NJ 08520. Burial will follow at the Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown. Arrangements are under the direction of the Barlow & Zimmer Funeral Home, 202 Stockton St., Hightstown, NJ 08520. In lieu of flowers, donations in Lester’s name may be made to St Anthony of Padua RC Church, 158 Maxwell Ave, Hightstown, NJ 08520.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, building capacity limits will be enforced and masks and social distancing will need to be followed.
