Obituary for Eileen M Burke PhD
Eileen M. Burke PhD, 92, of East Windsor, passed away peacefully at Meadow Lakes, Tuesday, January 12, 2021. Born in Perth Amboy, she resided in East Windsor for the past 9 years.
Eileen was a graduate of St. Mary's High School in Perth Amboy and received her Bachelor’s Degree from Seton Hall University, graduating Magna Cum Laude. After graduation she was an elementary school teacher in Woodbridge and went on to Rutgers University where she received her Doctorate in Education. After Rutgers she went on to teach at the graduate level at Trenton State College and finished her career at Rider University.
Predeceased by her parents, Thomas and Catherine Burke and her sister, Catherine Burke Austin; she is survived by her brother-in-law, Milton Austin.
Eileen will be interred with her parents at St Mary’s Cemetery in Hamilton. There will be a memorial service scheduled for a later date at St Anthony of Padua RC Church in Hightstown. Arrangements are under the direction of the Barlow & Zimmer Funeral Home, Hightstown.
