Obituary for Jane S Brewer

Jane S. Brewer of Meadow Lakes in Hightstown died Sunday, February 14, 2021.

Born in New Haven, Connecticut, she married Glenn A. Brewer Jr in 1957. The couple settled in New Jersey for many years and raised a family there. They moved to Meadow Lakes, a retirement community in Hightstown in 2003.

Jane retired after 27 years of service with Educational Testing Service in Princeton. She served as a WAVE Officer during Korea and later worked for several years at Cornell University. She held an MA degree from Cornell and a BA from Wilson College in Chambersburg, PA. She was an active member of Trinity Church in Princeton, where she had previously served as a Warden. She was an active member of Meadow Lakes including President of the Forum, as well as having chaired and served on various committees including the Scholarship Committee and House Committee. Jane also hosted a Meadow Lakes residents' website for several years.

Jane is survived by Glenn A. Brewer Jr., her husband of 63 years, four children, Glenn A. III (Donna), Margaret Libbey (Michael), Leslie (Arnold) and Rebecca (Keith), five grandchildren, Kathryn (Matthew), Morgan Smith (Blake), Matthew, Nathaniel Blinn and Jacqueline Blinn and three great grandchildren, Sloane and Esme Derman, daughters of Kathryn and Matthew Derman and Charlotte Smith, daughter of Morgan and Blake Smith.

A memorial service to celebrate Jane's life will be held when her family can gather in the future at Trinity Church, 33 Mercer Street, Princeton, NJ. A gathering in her memory will be held when people can gather safely at Meadow Lakes, 300 Etra Road, East Windsor, NJ 08520. The family will welcome guests at that time.

It is suggested that memorial contributions be made to a charity of your choice or to Trinity Church, Princeton.
