Obituary for Glenn A Brewer Jr.
Glenn Aaron Brewer, Jr. of Meadow Lakes in Hightstown died February 18, 2022 at his residence.
Born in New Haven, Connecticut, he married Jane Spraggon in 1957. The couple settled in New Jersey for many years and raised a family there. They moved to Meadow Lakes, a retirement community in Hightstown, in 2003.
Glenn retired after more than 40 years of service with Bristol Myers Squibb. He holds a PhD degree from The University of Wisconsin and a BS from Hobart College, Geneva, NY. In addition to his work career, he volunteered in a variety of community organizations. He served for a few years as Senior Vice President of the Delaware Raritan Girl Scout Council. Glenn was President of United Way Greater Mercer County and was recognized with a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2015. He earned the first Eagle Scout awarded in the town of Woodbridge, CT when he was teenager.
Glenn was predeceased by his wife Jane S. Brewer, his wife of 64 years. Glenn is survived by four children, Glenn A. III, Margaret Libbey, Leslie, and Rebecca, five grandchildren, Kathryn, Morgan Smith, Matthew, Nathaniel Blinn, and Jacqueline Blinn and three great grandchildren, Sloane and Esme Derman daughters of Kathryn and Matthew Derman, and Charlotte Smith, daughter of Morgan Smith.
A memorial service to celebrate Glenn’s and Jane’s lives together will be held at a future date at Trinity Church, 33 Mercer Street, Princeton, NJ.
It is suggested that memorial contributions be made to a charity of your choice or to Trinity Church, Princeton.
