Obituary for Thomas J Reilly

Thomas J. Reilly, 90, of Cranbury and Monroe Village died Tuesday May 10, 2022. He was predeceased by his loving wife Mary Elizabeth Reilly. They were married for 60 year and shared many journeys traveling the world.
Tom served honorably in the United States Army in the 1950’s, serving in support operations in Germany. After his tour of duty, he worked at Johnson and Johnson and attended night school obtaining his degree from Rider University. He was a business analyst for several different companies including General Dynamics. Tom finished his career working for the State of New Jersey.
Tom was an avid sports fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and U Conn Ladies Basketball. He loved staying up and watching late night television.
Tom was very active in the local community. He enjoyed helping the Lions with the annual Memorial Day parade in Cranbury He served as the president of the Cranbury Lions Club from 1999 to 2001.
Tom was predeceased by his wife Mary Elizabeth Reilly. His parents William and Charlotte Reilly. Brother Raymond Reilly, sister Grace Carr and brother in-law Ronald Carr. He is survived by his brothers and their wives, Richard and Mary Reilly, Dan and Lucille Reilly; sister in law Arlene Reilly and many nieces and nephews.
Tom was a parishioner of St. Anthony of Padua RC Church in Hightstown.
Tom will be missed by his family and friends but is reunited with his wife Mary Elizabeth in heaven.
Calling hours will be held from 4pm to 6pm on Sunday, May 15, 2022 at the Barlow & Zimmer Funeral Home, 202 Stockton Street, Hightstown, NJ 08520. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30am on Monday at St. Anthony of Padua RC Church, 251 Franklin Street, Hightstown, NJ 08520. Inurnment of cremains will be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bordentown at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations in Tom’s name may be made to the Monastery at Saint Clare, 150 White Pine Road, Chesterfield, NJ 08515.
