Obituary for Deborah L Stults

Deborah Lynn Stults, entered into the arms of her Lord and Savior, on May 23, 2022, while at Penn Medical Center, Plainsboro. Born August 7, 1948, she was raised and resided in Hightstown. She graduated from St Mary’s Hall in Burlington and from Penn Hall in Chambersburg, PA.
“Debbie” was a very active member of the First Baptist Church of Hightstown and served many years on the Diaconate and other church committees. She was stricken with polio at a very young age which significantly limited her mobility but sharpened her wit and sense of humor. Her vivaciousness and laughter could brighten up the darkest moments for those around her and was quite contagious.
In addition to her fondness of humanity, she was an avid animal lover and spent many years taking care of stray cats (along with other animals) on her property… jokingly call by herself and those closest to her as “Debbie’s Cat-House”; she even managed to somehow keep those felines away from her fishpond!
She leaves behind her beloved daughter Lisa-Renee Chappell and son-in-law Jon Sohl, Allentown, NJ, her sisters Cathleen S. Cliver (husband Michael), Barba Crear, and brother Charles “Cappy” Stults, (wife Chris); nephew Lee Stults (wife Hilary), and nieces Tina Horner (fiancé Joseph), Abigail Rivenburgh (husband Brent), and Amanda Kennedy.
The family wishes to thank the neighbors and friends who unselfishly assisted her over the years with the many tasks of life that most of us take for granted. Visiting Hours will be Tuesday, May 31, 2022 from 6:00-8:00pm at the Barlow & Zimmer Funeral Home, 202 Stockton Street, Hightstown. Services will take place at the First Baptist Church, 125 Main Street, Hightstown on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at 10:00 AM, with interment to follow at the East Windsor Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to the First Baptist Church of Hightstown or a charity of your choice.
