Obituary for Jill L Tabor
Jill L (Verga) Tabor, age 49, passed peacefully surrounded by family
on June 20, 2022 after battling cancer (Ewing Sarcoma) for 8 years.
She was born in Bergen County, NJ on March 12, 1973.
Jill cherished her family dearly. She leaves behind her husband
Daniel Tabor, her two children Cecilia and Noah Tabor, parents Joseph
and Judith Verga, siblings Joe and Janet Verga, Jeff and Shana Verga,
and her many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Jill was a graduate of Bergenfield H.S., class of 1991, Stockton
University class of 1995, and Rutgers University with her M.S.W. class
of 1996. She volunteered throughout her lifetime with organizations
such as Junior Friday Club, Girl Scouts of America, and One Simple
Wish, as well as St. John’s Church, Lake Naomi Club, and Hightstown
High school.
Jill loved her time with friends throughout life – hanging in
Bergenfield, enjoying neighbors on the ‘Wick, and sitting in our
circle on Lake Naomi Club beach. Everyone fell in love with her
smile, her passion, and her laughter. She had an enormous impact on
the lives of everyone who knew her.
A viewing will be held Sunday, June 26th, 2022 from 3:00pm - 6:00pm at
St Anthony of Padua RC Church, 251 Franklin Street HIGHTSTOWN, NJ
08520, followed by a funeral mass on June 27th at 10:30 AM.

Our family would like to express our gratitude to the doctors and
nurses at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center for giving us many
more years with Jill in our lives.
We will miss Jill greatly, but the impact she had on the world will
forever be remembered.
