Obituary for Ruth F Carroll
Ruth Frances Carroll, age 93, passed away on Wednesday October 26, 2022.
Ruth was born on Christmas Day, 1928, in Boston Massachusetts to George and Winifred Haskell. She was predeceased by her four siblings Rita, Eleanor, George and Walter, a stillborn son, Kenneth and her son-in-law John Giovanniello.
Ruth is survived by her five children; Mary DeClemente and her husband Richard from Tarpon Springs, Florida; Robert Carroll and his wife Joanne from Easton, PA; Laraine Giovanniello from Medford, NY; Lynn Gilbert and her husband Todd from Kerhonkson, NY; Lisa Ernst and her husband Charles from Hightstown, NJ. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; Robert, Kasey, Kara, Dawn, Carla, Connor, Charlie, Jack, Tyler and Claire along with eight great-grandchildren; Christopher, Jonathan, Julie, Sean, Emma, Grant, Grace and Gerald.
In addition, Ruth is survived by her former husband, Joseph Carroll of Staten Island, NY.
Known as Ruthie to those who loved her, she was a RUTHLESS scrabble player, who loved card games, and puzzles. She was a creative soul who loved playing piano, gardening and sewing. She also loved hearing her kids and grandkids sing.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
