Marilyn Murphy Logan, 84, of Cranbury, passed away at her residence with her family by her side on Saturday, May 20, 2017. Born in Trenton, NJ; she grew up in Plainsboro Township before moving to Cranbury in 1954.
Marilyn was a graduate of Princeton High School Class of 1950, and retired from Wrights Roses in Cranbury where she worked as a bookkeeper for over 20 years. She was also a longtime member of St. Anthony of Padua RC Church.
Predeceased by her parents, Michael J. and Margaret Martin Murphy; wife of the late Kenneth E. Logan; former police chief of Cranbury Township, one brother; William Murphy and one sister; Jean Kostue. She is survived by one son and two daughters, Michael and Caroline Logan, Ellen and Doug Davis and Meghan and Tom Moody, six grandchildren, Ashley Davis Watkins, Kyle Davis, Caitlin Logan, Connor Logan, Reilly Moody and Callan Moody, two great-granddaughters, Harper and Logan Watkins, one sister-in-law, Marilyn Murphy and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held from 5pm to 8pm on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at the Barlow & Zimmer Funeral Home, 202 Stockton Street, Hightstown, NJ 08520. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30am on Friday at St Anthony of Padua RC Church, 251 Franklin Street, Hightstown. Burial will follow at Brainerd Cemetery, Cranbury. In lieu of flowers donations in Marilyn’s name may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2600 US Highway 1, North Brunswick, NJ 08902.
