It has has taken me some time to sit and write this. The last few months, it was easier to think of Nicole as just out, being young and living her life, rather than believe she is gone. As I grow older, and more frequently lose loved ones, I have realized the ones we lost are never gone. We carry them in our hearts and know we have a special someone looking out for us. Nicole, I wish I knew why you were taken from us so soon. It's 1 of the many questions I will ask myself often.
You were such a lil firecracker. Always such a happy, loving girl. Every family function it was always the 2 of us doing something inappropriate making everyone laugh. Do we all remember walking into church in our miniskirts?? We hid in the pew so the priest didn't yell at us! But we looked good!
I have so many great memories with you that will always put a smile on my face. You will be forever young and beautiful.
When a loved one passes, we are told to look for signs. A few days after Nicole passed, my family saw a rainbow going straight to the sky. We were all in agreement that it was a sign from Nicole. A Rainbow is considered a symbol of hope and after each storm, God sends us rainbows.
Since that day, I've seen 3 outside my front door, which is more then I've seen in my 35 years. Keep shining bright Nicole.
Until we meet again. We love you.
